1. What is the process of obtaining the license plate?
- Our goal is to develop a list of 1,000+members who pledge to purchase the TI Tag and support us by prepaying $25 manufacturing fee plus the insurance costs.
- Then, all pre-order participants will submit your $30 manufacturing & admin fees to a District 14 dedicated account within a given month.
- We then submit the initial $25,000 manufacturing fee and paperwork to the Georgia Dept. of Revenue/Motor Vehicle Division.
- Our Georgia Toastmasters Specialty License Plates will then be mailed to us in about 45 days.
2. What are the costs?
- A $300,000.00 General Liability Policy will cost us approximately $275.00 annually.
- A $50,000.00 Surety Bond is required to cover funds in our dedicated account.
- Our bond cost is expected to be 2% or $2,000.00.
- The bond must be fully collateralized.
- We have a benefactor who is willing: His bank will offer a ‘letter of attachment’ for the term of the sale period.
- This is why we wish to keep that term as short as possible, perhaps one month.
- (The state allows us 24 months to collect the manufacturing fees.)
