Chair
The Heartbeat of New Toastmasters Clubs
Welcome to District 14 Toastmasters Club Extension online.
We’re positioned for another exciting year of building
new clubs in Georgia, fueled by District Governor, Joy Lewis’
theme for 2007-2008: Excellence In Action.
It’s a great companion to our District mission, and we
embrace it as our motivation and promise to extend the benefits
of Toastmasters International membership to everyone everywhere
in Georgia. Starting new clubs is an excellent way to keep our
Toastmasters promise and ensure the future of Georgia Toastmasters.
This year, each of the 57 Areas in District 14 will grow by,
at a minimum, one new club by June 30, 2008. With new club leads
and commitment from experienced Toastmasters from clubs all
over Georgia participating at New Club Kick-off meetings, District
14 will claim its success in achieving the title of #1 District
in the world. Listen for the heartbeat of new Toastmasters clubs
and bask in glorious difference you’ll feel when you’re
giving the gift of Toastmasters, one club to the next, and contribute
to our President’s Distinguished District success for
2007-2008!
Each month, the “First New Club of the Month,”
along with their mentors, sponsors, Area and Division Governors
will receive special recognition on the District 14 website.
Come back time and again to read articles and see pictures showcasing
our newest clubs and celebrate the success and efforts of their
leadership and support teams.

Extension Chair, Sharon S. Jones, DTM
As my promise to you as your 2007-2008 Club Extension Chair,
my goal and commitment is to serve the District in contacting
and communicating leads received from WHQ and other resources
to our Divisions, help coordinate kick-off meetings, facilitate
answers to questions about the charter process, and supply resources
to help Toastmasters to charter clubs. It’s an honor to
support and serve fellow Toastmasters throughout our great District
14 as they work to fulfill the requirements for Advanced Leader
and Distinguished Toastmaster designations, yearly success plans
and engage in the most fulfilling experiences within the District
14 network of Toastmasters. Let’s work together and demonstrate
the vision of Excellence In Action.
