Follow up on overdue semiannual reports and dues.

Clubs elect new officers for 2008-2009. Report to Toastmasters International by 6/30 for DCP credit.

  1 Begin “Beat the Clock” membership campaign (5/1-6/30). Clubs adding 5 or more members receive recognition from Toastmasters International.
  2-3 Spring Conference, Peachtree City GA
Friday: Entertainment, Candidates Forum, and Table Topics Contest
Saturday: Announce contest winners, DEC appreciation breakfast. District council meeting to include: adoption of club alignment, report of nominating committee, nominations from floor, election of district officers, report of audit committee, treasurer’s report; invitation to fall conference, bids for spring conference 2009, district international speech contest. Collect regional conference and international convention proxies.
  4 Breakfast meeting and post conference debriefing with spring and fall conference hosts.

Clubs begin conducting humorous speech and evaluation contests, and submit winners’ names to area governors.

  10 Deadline for submitting articles for the Summer edition Gavel to PRO.
  15

Final date for semiannual dues reports to be received by Toastmasters International for distinguished area program credit.

Treasurer’s report for 7/1/07-3/31/08 due to Toastmasters International.

  26 Summer edition Gavel mailed; in home delivery on or before 05/31/08.

Final date to submit club visit reports for distinguished area program credit.

Toastmasters International mails club officer kits to club presidents.

Division governors meeting. Review division and area goals and plan strategies for final month.
