How do I set up a free website?

Your club has already been assigned a free website by Toastmasters International. To activate it:

1. Go to www.freetoasthost.org, .com, or .net.
2. On the left side menu, click on ìRequest your free website.
3. Fill out the information on the next page and follow the steps. You need to have your club number handy at this step.

After you activate your site, you will have more questions on how to customize the site by changing colors, adding pictures etc. The first thing you need to do is go through the tutorial. Click on the link below to watch the tutorial (please turn your speakers on).

After your site is up, you should make sure that you put the site address on your information with Toastmasters International. This will ensure that when a search is done for a club in your area, your information shows up with you web address.

I donít like the long web address, how do I change it to something simple?

Some people want to be able to pass along a web address that is easy to remember. Unfortunately, FreeToastHost does not give you that option. However there is a way around it. You can buy a domain name of your choice for your club and point it to your FreeToastHost address. Here's how you do it.

1. Go to a site like Yahoo.com, Godaddy.com or other websites and purchase the domain name of your choice.
2. Your domain name will come with a control panel. Log into your control panel.
3. Look for a section that says manage domain.
4. You should forward your new domain name to your freetoasthost website. The instructions on how to do this will be in your domain control panel.
5. I would recommend doing a ìMasked Forward, so that people get used to the web address for your club.
