Get a Tax ID for a New Club |
To obtain a Federal Tax ID (EIN) for a new Toastmasters club:
- The EIN number can only be requested when all New Club Charter paperwork has been received at Toastmasters International.
- NOTE: TI cannot submit a request with just the Application to Organize Forms
- Once completed paperwork is received, Toastmasters International will submit a SS4 Form to the IRS with the Club information which they will ensure is submitted correctly, club name, club number, etc.
- The club will be notified by the IRS what the EIN number will be via letter which will be sent to both the club and Toastmasters International
- This request can take 2-4 weeks.
- Once the Club receives the EIN number, the club can set up a bank account in the clubs name as Non-Profit under the Toastmasters International umbrella.
